SARAJEVO, July 25 (Reuters) - Firefighters battled wildfires that were spreading in the area south of the Croatian Adriatic city of Dubrovnik late on Tuesday, with strong southerly winds preventing deployment of aircraft and landmines exploding, local media reported. "A hurricane southern wind blowing in the Dubrovnik-Neretva canton has fuelled a widespread open space fire in the area of the Dubrovnik Plat community," the Croatian Firefighters Community (HVZ) said on its website. The area affected by fire is just 12 kilometres (7.5 miles) from the medieval Mediterranean town of Dubrovnik, a top tourist destination in Croatia. Another bushfire occurred in the Split-Dalmatian county on Tuesday, with 65 firefighters and three aircraft battling the flames. Also on Tuesday, two people drowned and several were injured in neighbouring Montenegro when strong southern winds hit its coast, port authorities in the towns of Ulcinj and Petrovac said.

Prima navă de croazieră a amarat sâmbătă în Veneţia, după o întrerupere de 17 luni cauzată d epandemie. „Vasele de croazieră reprezintă turismul-fulger, care nu aduce, de fapt, decât puţine avantaje pentru Veneţia", a declarat o protestatară, din tabăra celor care şi-au exprimat nemulţumirea în timp ce se aflau la bordul unor mici ambarcaţiuni cu motor. Nava a ajuns fără pasageri, dar a plecat cu aproximativ 650 de oameni. Aceasta a primit autorizaţia de a primi la bord doar jumătate din capacitatea sa totală de 3.000 de pasageri, pentru a respecta astfel măsurile anti-COVID-19. UTM este parte a proiectului „DANOVA – servicii inovatoare de transport pentru pasagerii nevăzători și cu deficiențe de vedere din Regiunea Dunării”Din 15 februarie 2021, Universitatea Tehnică a Moldovei, prin Centrul de Cercetare „Observatorul de Siguranță a Infrastructurii Rutiere – OSIR” din cadrul Departamentului Ingineria Infrastructurii Transportului, Facultatea Urbanism și Arhitectură, este parte a proiectului „DANOVA – servicii inovatoare de transport pentru pasagerii nevăzători și cu deficiențe de vedere din Regiunea Dunării”, înregistrat în Platforma pentru Gestionarea Asistenței Externe (PGAE) cu ID 8721186315739. Mulți pasageri nevăzători și cu deficiențe de vedere consideră că este extrem de dificil și, în unele cazuri, chiar imposibil, să folosească transportul convențional, cum ar fi avioanele, trenurile sau transportul public urban. Motivele sunt diverse: pasagerii nevăzători și cu deficiențe de vedere nu au acces egal la informațiile vizuale sau scrise; personalul adesea nu este instruit pentru a sprijini și comunica în mod adecvat cu pasagerii nevăzători și cu deficiențe de vedere; lipsa unei infrastructuri accesibile în mod adecvat pentru aceste persoane; diferențele dintre legislațiile naționale cu privire la accesibilitate existente de la țară la țară, etc. Proiectul implică, de asemenea, 4 parteneri asociați: Uniunea Slovacă pentru Nevăzători și cei cu Deficienţe de Vedere, Aeroportul din Ljubljana, Autoritatea Aviației Civile din Republica Moldova și Centrul de Inovație DEX.
